Remembering Merseyside's Lost Women

Join us. Stand together. Remember them.

On 25th November, we’re inviting our community to come together for a candlelit vigil in memory of all the women and girls who have lost their lives to male violence across Merseyside.

Every woman and girl we remember had a life, a story and a future that should never have been taken from them. We gather to honour their memories, recognise the devastating impact of violence against women and girls, and reaffirm our commitment to a future where every woman and girl is believed, protected and heard.

Taking place on the first day of the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, this vigil is an opportunity for our community to stand together, remember those we have lost and renew our collective commitment to ending violence against women and girls.

Organised by Merseyside’s specialist violence against women and girls (VAWG) services, with support from the Police and Crime Commissioner Emily Spurrell, the vigil will feature performances by Batala Mersey and Sense of Sound Choir.

🕯️Please join us and stand with us in remembrance.
