The Police and Crime Commissioner is committed to supporting Merseyside Police in taking swift, effective action to tackle ASB and keep our communities safe.
Antisocial behaviour (ASB) affects the quality of life in our communities. While most people in Merseyside are respectful and community-minded, a small minority engage in behaviour that causes alarm, distress, and harm.
What is Antisocial Behaviour?
ASB covers a wide range of behaviours that negatively impact people’s lives. It includes:
- Threats or intimidation from neighbours
- Vandalism and trespassing
- Firework misuse
- Noise disturbances
- Fly-tipping and littering
- Nuisance vehicle use
- Street drinking and drug use
If it causes distress or disrupts your peace, it could be ASB.

Who Should You Contact?
Knowing who to report ASB to can be confusing. It might be the police, your local council, housing association, or landlord. To make things easier Merseyside Police have created an interactive reporting tool to find out who can help with your specific issue.
